Well the Terps got a crucial win on Wednesday night against the Florida State Seminoles to pick up their first top 50 RPI win. Let that sink in a moment. The regular season was four games from completion and the Terps hadn’t gotten a top 50 win. With the win, they put themselves on the Bubble Watch again. However, they need a whole lot more than just that one win at home against the depleted Seminoles. A win against the Tarheels on the road Saturday would do wonders for their profile and they also would do well to not slip on a banana peel against the Hurricanes and Cavaliers as they close the season. They have plenty of work to do but opportunities to play their way in as an at large team with the close of the regular season and the ACC tournament.

Here’s how I see it playing out.
If the Terps win their last 3 regular season games I think winning 2 in the ACC tourney will get them in.
If they win 2 of their last 3 with one win coming at UNC, I think winning 2 in the ACC MIGHT get them in.
If they win 2 of 2 of their last 3 but don’t beat UNC then I think they will have to advance to the ACC final.
If they do anything less than winning 2 of last 3 then they will have to win the ACC tourney.
I completly agree. UNC win is a must to have an at large bid. If MD loses to UNC then the only other chance is winning the acc tourney which won’t happen this year with this team, soooooo we’ll see tonite I guess.
