Not only did Nick Markakis receive a standing ovation from the Baltimore crowd in his return to Camden Yards, but he followed it with a double to leadoff the game.
The Braves outfielder who spent a decade in orange and black, went 2-for-5 on the night adding a single in the top of the eight in a scoreless game. Markakis rounded first and tested the arm of his former teammate and good pal, Adam Jones.
After the game, Orioles manager Buck Showalter discussed what it was like watching his former player:
Buck said everyone in dugout wanted to applaud Nick. "You did it with your heart and not your hands." #orioles
