The Washington Capitals have called up forward/center Michael Latta from Hershey to replace Jack Hillen‘s spot on the roster. Hillen has been put on the LTIR due to a fractured tibial plateau he suffered Thursday October 3rd against the Calgary Flames.
During his one game stint with Hershey, Latta had 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Both were shorthanded. He will probably split 4th line center duties with Jay Beagle. Both are valuable on the PK and strong defensively, so perhaps Adam Oates will try to find a way to get both Beagle and Latta into the lineup.
