Through his first 17 games, Chris Davis has hit one home run. Just one. He had crushed seven dongs through this point a year ago.
After hitting 53 dingers a season ago, everyone has been surprised by the low homer total from CD thus far. Everyone, including Davis.

As a result in his more patient approach, Davis is walking at a nice rate.

Davis had 10 walks in his first 17 games last season. He ranks 16th in walks in the American League (going into Monday’s game).
