Last night, the Orioles purchased Chris Dickerson’s contract from Triple-A Norfolk. He joined the O’s in Boston and told reporters that he found out he was getting called up while stepping into the batter’s box to leadoff the game for the Tides.

Dickerson will be sporting number 60, the same digits that he rocked during Spring Training. He’s listed among the reserves for the O’s tonight in game two against the Red Sox.
Were the latest moves made to A) protect TJ, B) save some more of Peter’s billion dollars or C) to prepare for Nolan’s DL stint? If this were a quiz, I would vote for all of the above.
