It seems like J.J. Hardy always get called on in big situations.

And of late, Hardy hasn’t shied away from them.

Yet again Thursday night, in a 7-7 ball game, Hardy stepped to the plate with the bases loaded looking to give the O’s a lead and a chance at sweeping the Reds. He delivered, ripping a 3-1 pitch into left field scoring Nick Markakis and Adam Jones.

Over the season, with runners in scoring position, Hardy is batting .346. In past years, the Orioles have struggled to drive runners in, this season J.J. is doing his part to alleviate this problem.

To go along with his hitting, he has continued to play short stop on a Gold Glove level. He ended the game on a terrific sliding play. All in all, J.J. Hardy may be the most clutch Oriole.
