Arizona Cardinals defensive end Darnell Dockett was in town for a free football camp over the weekend and was pulled over by Maryland police on Monday afternoon. Dockett was asked by police if his car could be searched and he declined their request.
But that’s not even the best part. Dockett used twitter to document his experience with Maryland police in 13 separate tweets about the incident. He didn’t take to kindly to how he was treated by the officers.
Police said “do you mind if we look around in your Vehicle?” I said I sure DO! He said “I’m gonna call back up” I said u wanna use my phone?
Dockett said that he thought the officers were attempting to get a search warrant because they kept him on the side of the road for over an hour.
After his bizarre afternoon, Dockett reported that he did not receive a ticket and that his car was not searched by the officers.
