Despite a report from Daniel Jeremiah on NFL.com claiming that the Ravens have a “75 percent chance” of extending Joe Flacco’s contract before training camp, agent Joe Linta isn’t as optimistic.

“[The reporter] picked a number out, it’s fine,” Linta told WNST behind the hiss of an AM radio signal.  “There’s no truth to it.”

After the Ravens signed Ray Rice to a five-year extension, which freed up nearly three million in cap space, reports began rolling out that Flacco would be next.  “There’s a lot of guys that are on television that don’t know the difference between touchdown and goose down,” Linta added.  “He thinks he is the best and he wants to earn it.  Anybody that criticizes him for saying that is a fool.”

Flacco is due to make $6.76 million this season and scheduled to become a free agent in 2013.

“Right now he wants to be a good dad, good husband and enjoy this little bit of offseason and get ready for the season.”
