The stage was all set. After blowing the save on Wednesday night, Jim Johnson was going to get a 1-2-3 inning in the bottom of the 13th on Thursday with the last out being Alex Rodriguez.

But Yankees skipper Joe Girardi pinch hit for A-Rod and instead Eric Chavez lined out to third base to end the game and send the ALDS to game five.

Oh well.
