A businessman’s special on a Thursday afternoon always speaks for some good baseball.
However, after an over two hour rain delay and about five and a half hours after first pitch, J.J. Hardy stepped to the plate with Chris Davis on second.
Hardy proceeded to rip the ball back up the middle, scoring Davis on a close play.
Hardy has been known to hit well with runners in scoring position in the past, but has generally failed to produce in limited at bats so far in 2015.
The Orioles offense needs a pick me up, and J.J. Hardy hitting well with runners on with definitely help.
