What were you doing when you were 20 years old? Probably not hitting home runs in postseason games.
Don’t worry, I wasn’t either.
But Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado was — on Wednesday night he became the second-youngest player to homer in a postseason game behind Andruw Jones.
Machado swung at a first pitch breaking ball from Hiroki Kuroda in the top of the fifth and drove the ball 407 feet to left centerfield to give the Orioles a 2-1 lead.
The only other 20 year olds to hit bombs in the playoffs were Mickey Mantle and Miguel Cabrera.
That’s a pretty nice list right there folks.
GIF after the bump.
