Zach Britton‘s return to the big leagues probably didn’t go as smoothly as he had hoped — or Orioles’ fans had hoped for that matter. The Birds lefty threw six innings, surrendered six runs on ten hits and earned the loss.
He kept the Orioles in the game through the first 5 1/2 innings, down 3-2, but things really unraveled in the sixth. After giving up a leadoff single to Justin Smoak, Britton was hit in the throwing arm my a ball thrown by home plate umpire Alan Porter. Britton was looking down, unaware a ball had been chucked in his direction.

Britton remained in the game, but the Mariners bats got going in the sixth. He gave up three more runs on three hits and concluded his evening after Kendrys Morales‘ groundout to second base.

Good thing his sac is the size as Mystery Man’s. If that was me, I would have been rushed to Shock Trauma! Man Down! Man Down!
Speaking of Mystery Man, is him and Tavon White the same guy? Haven’t heard from him in a while. Figure he was locked up again.
