Buster Olney tweeted earlier today that the Texas Rangers scouted Jeremy Guthrie and Ty Wigginton as they prepare the the trade deadline.

MLBTradeRumors.com reports that Guthrie is under the Orioles control through 2012 earning $3 million and he could prove to be a solid innings eater with the losses of Rich Harden and Derek Holland.

Wigginton was hitting well through June 4th (.284 AVG, 13 HR, 33 RBI), but has cooled off as of late (.214 AVG, 0 HR, 7 RBI). His versatility and proven bat has got to be his biggest asset as the deadline approaches.
