Red Sox nation has infested Baltimore yet again. Tonight, the 44,091 in attendance from New England cheered as the Sox drove three homers out of Camden Yards against Jeremy Guthrie.

Guthrie continues to be the league leader in homeruns allowed, he has now given up 26 rocketships.

David Ortiz, Boston’s most recent steroid user, hit the first shot in the third inning. But, the O’s tied it up in the bottom half of the inning. Brian Roberts hit a sacrifice fly and Nolan Reimold hit his 10th homer of the season. Reimold shot to right field was reviewed and upheld by the umpires.

Jacoby Ellsbury gave Boston and 4-3 lead with (you guessed it) a solo homer, but Aubrey Huff hit a two run shot that put the O’s back on top.

Dave Trembley took the blame for blowing the Orioles’ lead in the seventh inning. Jeremy Guthrie recorded the first two outs, but then gave up a two run homer to Kevin Youkilis. Trembley felt responsible for leaving Guthrie in the game.

The birds are now 4-10 since the All-Star break, even though they have out hit their opponents 139-128.
