Despite a tough loss for the Orioles in Washington against the Nats, Jeremy Guthrie took the positives and complimented the lively bats of his teammates Adam Jones, Nick Markakis and Derrek Lee, who combined for 13 hits, and catcher Matt Wieters.

Guthrie had a scare in Thursday’s game that looked as though he may land on the disabled list after he left the game early with back stiffness. An MRI revealed that he is clear to start his slot on Tuesday against the Pirates.
