In an article on HardballTalk about Manny Ramirez’s future, Craig Calcaterra recommended Manny to the Baltimore Orioles.
Hey Orioles: sign Manny, put him at DH, move your birther to first base
and watch Manny get comeback player of the year award votes. It’ll happen. I just know
it.
Do you think that Manny would fit in here in Baltimore?

Manny as our DH would be awesome. I would like to see Beltre at 3rd and Reynolds at 1st over LaRoche and Lee at 1st. Matt Garza as our ace would make us a contender! Rays might take Scott and Tillman.
I like these people who sit here and say Beltre would be great at 3rd and Garza as the O's ace… Come on get real… And then the Prince Fielder to the O's talk is slowly taking shape also… Who have the O's signed or traded for that is a big star? Reynolds? They got him because he was cheap (BTW, I'm glad they got him), Hardy? Again, he's cheap…
Look, stop the talk about these star coming to Baltimore. ITS NOT HAPPENING! In fact, the O's make sure its not happening by under bidding on the players… Remember, the O's were $16mil below the White Sox offer…
Be happy when during the season the O's trade for Melvin Mora, maybe get a "scrappy role player" like a Jake Fox… Or hey! O's still have a shot at Kevin Millwood….
Wouldn't be much different than bringing in 45-year old Eddie Murray in 1996 to hit .257 with 34 RBIs…And Manny DID have 18 homers in 2009…Don't put it past 'em… 🙁
Matt Garza would be a great addition to the Orioles. Also, they should sign Beltre and move Scott. I believe Scott comments are way off base. Think about it, no way would a person who was born outside of this country would be in a position to be President. The Birds need a little fire to bring the fans back.
Yeah, let's get rid of Scott because he doesn't agree with The President's views. I'll make this short, sweet and to the point – Luke's political views should be irrelative to everyone here. He's a baseball player, and that's what I thought "baltimoresportsreport" was about. This isn't CNN or FoxNews.
From the middle of May on last year (yes, most of the season), Luke had the 3rd highest OPS in the AL (behind only M-Cab and Josh Hamilton). On a team that scored less than an embarrassing 700runs last year, Luke was not the problem. You want to get rid of one of the most underrated players in the game who is signed to a good contract for a guy who is going to demand 5yr/$85M that has never produced outside of a contract year (yes, look up the final year of his contracts – they were the only time he was a true force with the bat – LAD, SEA, BOS).
Speaking of a force, how can you not love LUUUUUUUUUUUKE?!
