Heyman: Orioles getting offers for Hardy, Reynolds, Jones, Markakis

Trade season is now among us. The Orioles will likely be looking to sell and according to Jon Heyman of Sports Illustrated, they are already getting offers for J.J. Hardy, Mark Reynolds, Nick Markakis and Adam Jones.

Heyman did report that the Orioles are serious a out re-signing Hardy, but that if they do not he could see Hardy landing with a contender such as the Giants.

These are the only guys the Orioles can’t afford to let go. They gotta start somewhere. Jones, Hardy, Reynolds, Markakis would all leave huge holes in their already poor lineup. All of these guys should be untouchable.

don’t even listen to the offers unless they are for the older players. These are the only players that seem to be able to do anything.

Extending Hardy is a horrendously misguided move that lacks foresight. Ship Hardy to St. Louis for a nice AA arm like Carlos Martinez…yesterday!
