Sure today is Valentine’s Day, but in the sports world a more important holiday dominates February 14, 2012 — the release of Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue and unveiling of its cover.
Kate Upton, every sports fan’s favorite swim suit model, is this year’s covergirl for the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Upton’s cover hit the interwebs yesterday afternoon, but was formally introduced to the world on The Late Show with David Letterman.
Below is the high-resolution image of Upton’s cover.
If you really need an explanation as to why I posted Upton’s cover on BSR, I will say that I did at least do a Google search for “Kate Upton Baltimore,” but came up with nothing.
Here’s a sports tie though, U.S. World Cup soccer star Alex Morgan joins Upton in this year’s issue. She’ll be donning body paint.
SI’s swimsuit issue is on new stands (do news stands still exist?) now and if you can’t get enough KU, check out her MLB 2K12 commercial.
God bless America,,,,,,,,,,it’s a shame that bikini isn’t just a bit smaller,,,,,,,,,did I say God bless America…………

I was waiting for a Spy “sand box” comment…
Playing in the sandbox with that is obvious,,,,,,,I’m trying to behave myself , but it’s difficult when things like Kate Upton show up,,,,,,,,,,,I know I’m referring to her as a thing but I view her as a sex object , simple as that,,,,,,am I wrong ?
All good, Spy. You seemed to have cleaned up your act and made some really good points.

Spy is ready to join the ranks of the BSR Greats but only if he sheds his wingman Chow…
If I become a BSR great , what does this mean and what are the benefits ? How big is this organization and is there a membership list ? And most important of all , is Lindsey a member LOL……….
Spy – The membership includes myself, MGW, Ravens2488, BM1956, Carl, Ol’Bruz and some others…
Benefits include lunch with Chow, having “The Intimidator” stand up for you if anyone outside the BSR regulars busts on you, organizational meetings at places like G&M Restaurant, Oriole games, Ravens games, or really any place everyone decides on.
Sounds like a nice group you guys have established , I’m afraid I come from a different generation than you guys and wouldn’t mesh too well ,,,,,,,,,,,I’m a pretty old guy and I’m honored to be considered , maybe an honorary member or something like that,,,,,,,,,,my best to all………
An important step of individual improvement would be to train your self to weed out the unfavorable thoughts. This must be a proactive process. Whenever you have a negative thought, stop, believe, and rephrase that negative believed into one of positive changes. Before you realize it the quantity of negativity in your thinking will reduce.
But that’s no fun,,,,,,,,,,
I agree with spy , just look at those pixels !
