Just hours after the news broke about the Ravens passing on free agent wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery, Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that Cotchery has agreed to a one-year deal with Baltimore’s rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Former Jets WR Jericho Cotchery will agree to terms today on a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. More at ESPN.com.
Cotchery met with the Ravens and passed a physical after meeting at the Steelers camp on Sunday. He left New York after being released when Rex Ryan and the Jets signed former Raven Derrick Mason.
The 29 year old receiver will likely be the number five receiver in Pittsburgh behind Hines Ward, Mike Wallace, Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders.
