In a press release last night, the Baltimore Orioles have announced the the Hardy, Pie, and Johnson have all agreed to 1 year deals. These contracts will help both by avoiding the arbitration process.

According to Roch Kubatko, it looks like Hardy will make $5.85 million, Johnson will make $975,000 and Pie will make $985,000.

Still left unsigned is Luke Scott and Jeremy Guthrie. Both sides have exchanged numbers in preparation for arbitration. Because arbitration is scheduled for March, it is likely that contracts can be worked out before then.

Exciting stuff, isn’t it….. I do think it is fascinating that the O’s traded fro Hardy with no exact salary figures in place.
