Those pesky Orioles lost a one-run game. It took the national media all of 4 1/2 seconds to take note. Of course, they didn’t mention that the 1-1 Orioles who are 0-1 in one-run games have a +2 run differential.
After a slugfest with the Tampa Bay on Wednesday, Rays skipper Joe Maddon complimented the Orioles on their epic battle. “They’re absolutely zero fun right now. They’re not playing good in the sandbox.”

No kidding. Down 7-6 in the 8th inning, Brian Roberts RBI double tied the game off Fernando Rodney, who converted 48 of 50 saves last season.
But the Rays battled back and won with a walkoff homer in the 9th. It should be a fun year in the AL East.
