As we continue to try and figure out what exactly happened to Terrell Suggs in the case of the torn Achilles, more clues have been revealed this afternoon.  Let’s all hop in the mystery machine and try to solve this one together.

“The relevant conversation as far as Terrell Suggs is going to be rehab,” Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said when asked about the origin of Suggs injury this afternoon.

That doesn’t do a whole lot for us Harbs.

Here’s what we know so far.  Adam Schefter first reported on May 3 that Suggs tore his Achilles playing basketball, but later backtracked saying it was “unclear” whether the injury occurred in a conditioning test or on the court.  On Tuesday, Schefter clarified his source who said the reports lied about the origin of the tear.

I’ve been asked why this matters or who cares.  A local media member assumed I was not a Suggs fan because of my interest in the cover up story.  It’s too late and meaningless to argue whether Suggs should have been training playing basketball.  That I think we all can agree on.  What I don’t like is being lied to or attempting to keep a story from the fans.  If it happened playing basketball, don’t try and spin it.  Don’t lie to the fans.

Come out and tell the truth to the people that support you.  Wouldn’t the backlash be worse if you failed to cover up a story than if you just came out and admitted it?
