The Spring Training over reaction might be my absolute favorite thing in the entire world. Do you guys remember who led the league in Spring Training homers in 2011? Jake Fox.
Jonathan Schoop is admittedly much more highly thought of than Fox, but I’m not ready to hand him the Orioles starting spot at second base after seeing him for 4-for-6 with a pair of doubles and three RBI in his first four games this spring.
Buck Showalter on the other hand — well he’s impressed.
Showalter said Schoop is "very much in the mix" for the 2B job with #orioles. Nothing in stone about where he starts the season

In my opinion, Schoop would have to blow everyone away the rest of the month to earn the job over Ryan Flaherty or Jemile Weeks. Who knows though? Maybe he keeps slugging 1.000 and pushes Flash to Norfolk.
