Despite having the best month of June for the Orioles, hitting .320 with 8 home runs, 21 RBI, Adam Jones lazy play in centerfield opened up a four run inning for the Athletics on Thursday. BSR commenter Brohater pointed out that Jones was criticized by MASN color analyst Jim Palmer who said Jones “is a perfect example of a player with a ton of talent on cruise control.”
After the Orioles 8-1 loss to the A’s, Jones admitted his poor play in centerfield via his twitter feed.
The Orioles open up a 10 game road trip starting with a three game set in Boston. Hopefully Jones is it at Fenway park already getting prepared for tonight’s game.
