No one will ever accuse Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker of lacking confidence. I’ve never seen a kicker make so many headlines before.
Thursday on NFL Network, Tucker told the world that he thinks he could successfully nail the longest field goal in NFL history. His comments below were transcribed by Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk.com:
“If conditions are prime, like last season we opened up in Denver, the weather was warm, the field was nice, and you’re up at altitude so the ball just carries. In pregame I think I hit the crossbar from 85, so if the situation is just prime, then maybe 84 and a half yards.”
