Redskins cornerback Kevin Barnes weighed in on the Ralph Friedgen/University of Maryland drama. The Washington Post quoted Barnes, who was upset about how the Terps have handled the Friedgen situation.
“You can put it on the record: I think it’s complete [expletive],” Barnes said Sunday after the Redskins’ loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, Tex. “I don’t know this new AD, but to to treat an alumni like Coach Friedgen like that, who turned that program around, is completely terrible. I feel bad for those guys.”
The Sun reported that Friedgen has not agreed to retire. That’s the latest after they reported that he was officially out at Maryland in 2011.
