On Saturday night the Baltimore Mariners went into Reading to face the defending champs, the Express. Baltimore walked away with their 6th straight win to remain undefeated this season.
Mariners linebacker, Brian Bradford responds to the win and a crazy play that resulted in a defensive touchdown.
Wow, I still cringe when I hear about a turnover in Arena football. Ravens2488 and I used to line up 5 yards behind the LOS as on field personnel, when a turnover occurs and the ball goes the other way, we had no where to run sometimes. We got bashed up against the wall many times.
Glad to see the Mariners leading this league. Would be great to see them in the AFL.
Wow Zach!!! Once again you did a great job with the post game interview. I really like the game footage supporting the interview. Nice touch!!! Thanks for your continuing coverage of the mariners and your behind the scene work with the broadcast. It appreciated more than you will ever know!
STG – Yepp… It gets dangerous back there. I was hit after the play during a fumble recovery. I didn't walk straight for 2 weeks… I was very lucky!
As for the Mariners in the AFL??? It would be great for the organization and also the city of Bmore. The #1 goal this season is to bring the AIFA Championship to 1st Mariner Arena in July. If we earn the right to play that game it will truly solidify us as a contender for the AFL. Keep the fingers crossed…
I think we (at least I) limped for days…
I would love to see the Mariners win the AIFA championship this season. I certainly think they have the talent to do so. It would definitely be neat to see them in the AFL. You'd think that would definitely help get the word out on the club.
I heard STG and 2488 were doing the chain gang work because they were wanting to watch these hulking guys run around in tight football pants, hoping to catch a glimpse in the locker room either pro or post game. I've also heard them talk about how entertaining they were during the halftime show but I find that hard to believe since they were spending so much time in the locker room.
I'm not touching that one with a ten foot "pole"….
Good idea!
Zach – If you are traveling with the team this weekend have a safe trip and bring us back a win. I'm hoping with another victory the local media will appreciate the fact we are a undefeated team coming home after a long month on the road! I know WBAL-TV11 Is reporting live on May 2nd…
Glad to hear it. This team definitely deserves the attention and I've been happy to provide what I have so far.
If they keep winning they will be hard to ignore! Go Mariners.
GDJ – Pole is a hater. He says we live in the past, but at least our limelight was in the recent past. His best days were left on the high school field back in 19-dickety-six when they played with leather football helmets, shared baseball "mitts", and danced the Charleston when he was homecoming king at the Ottumwa Iowa All Boys Academy.
