With reports flying around about whether the Ravens will look to retain free agent fullback Le’Ron McClain, including a quote from him saying he doubted he would be in Baltimore next season, his future with the organization is up in the air.
It is obvious that McClain wants more playing time, between his “MCCLAIN 4 RB” campaign throughout the season and now speaking about how his future will depend on where he can get playing time. He recently posted this on Twitter:
I want to come back and play for the ravens so bad. This is home to me, but I just want to be involved more. I feel i proved that I can do more that’s all..
John Harbaugh said today in his final press conference: “I’d say there’s a chance to a good chance that he’ll be back.”
Should the Ravens re-sign McClain and configure the offense to give him more carries, or let him go and keep up with the current plan of attack with Ray Rice and Willis McGahee?
What do you think the Ravens should do?
I can't see how a team in the AFC North ges forward with MacGahee and Rice and no fullback.

Cameron and Harbaugh have spent the past 3 seasons turning the Ravens into the Eagles of 2004.
Look at 2008's offense compared with 2010's.
Mark,
Thanks for all the behind the scenes tidbits you threw my way. It was tough to keep my mouth shut, but nice to know most of my feelings about this situation where true.
What is it with teams in our town?
I can't take another year of excuses and cliches, when does this nightmare end?

You better get used to it.
Harbaugh will get his extension very soon.
He chose his words carefully about Cameron today saying "he is our OC going foward" but never committed 100% saying he will be our OC for the 2011 season.
But he won't can Cam because Cam is a FOH (Friend of Harbaugh). The only way Cam goes is if SB does it and I can't see Harbaugh handling that well at all.
I'm also curious to see how exactly this plays with the team itself. So far the only comments from players about Cameron is "we'll be shocked if he's gone" Nothing saying "he's a good OC and we like him" etc….
You've gotta read comments closely.
Oh, I fully expect a team that makes political correctness their top priority to retain a guy who has "taken them to the playoffs three straight seasons" to re-up Harbs. Also, who can forget Biscuit saying "I made a living hiring guys with thin resumes". Harbs is his guy (even if that's only what the public sees) and he is not going to concede he may have been wrong especially considering he can hang his hat on those "three appearances".
I guess Biscuit hopes Harbs grows into the role, stops alienating his players, concedes that his buddys may not be the best guys for the jobs, stops with the dog house situations, and is more open to constructive criticism.
I have zero doubt that Harbaugh will be back, but I wonder if he gets a more private talking to about his short comings, unlike was done to Billick in a very public setting. Also, wouldn't be surprised if he gets just a three-year deal.
Man Goes Wild (or whatever MGW stands for)…Coach Harbaugh is in distinguished company…Coach Marchibroda couldn't beat Pitt in the Playoffs…Nor could Coach Billick…Nor could Earl Weaver, for that matter…Pitt is better at Pro Sports than Baltimore is…We all have to accept that, deal with it, and move on…Sad though it may be so sayeth those words…
The ' 3 headed monster ' with it's unpredictability and change of speed was a huge success a couple years back. When something works as well this did, why do you have to change the culture?
