Le’Ron McClain officially departed Baltimore yesterday as he signed a one year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. The two-time Pro Bowler became outspoken in Baltimore and worked his hardest to prove that he was more than just a full back as he rallied for more touches throughout his career.
Despite an offseason in which McClain questioned the coaching of Ravens and most recently lashed out at a tweet sent by the Ravens official twitter page, McClain took time on Wednesday to thank the fans of Baltimore.
Just wanna thank the awesome fans, the entire city of Baltimore, The Ravens organization for these last 4 years!! Thank you so much!!! #33
The Ravens looked as though they were considering bringing McClain back to Baltimore this season, until last week when they signed free agent full back Vonta Leach. With that signing, the Ravens have shown that there are shifting their former hybrid style running game to a more traditionally bruising style.
This is a heckuva lot nicer than the swipe that “1winningdrive” took at him yesterday. Who writes the Ravens’ official Twitter messages, Harbaugh? Whoever wrote that childish crap yesterday about McClain should have some ‘splaining to do.
You know that garbage that the Ravens put out had to come from Harbaugh.
McClain is a class act that I wish was still here. Guy gave his all and did what was asked of him.
Hey Le’Ron, I’ll gladly take your Ravens jersey, frame it and hang it on my wall if you want to send it my way… You deserve a place on my Ravens wall!
