Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon tweeted some love for Orioles starter Brad Bergesen following game two of the three game series.  Bergesen shutdown Maddon’s club in his first complete game shutout performance, it was also the first time in 2011 that Maddon’s Rays had been shutout.

“Today was last night in reverse except Bergesen was more economical,” Maddon tweeted.  Bergy went a full nine innings, surrendering just four hits, no earned runs, a walk and five strikeouts.

Prior to that start, Bergesen had gone six innings twice, against New York and Boston at the end of April, and had struggled to find his first “W.”
