A’s fans were pretty relentless towards Manny Machado last night. For a little while, it looked like Machado would have the last laugh in Oakland. Then Josh Donaldson happened and well — things changed very suddenly.
Gary Thorne mentioned on the broadcast that Athletics fans carried signs into the O.co Coliseum to heckle Machado, but warned that they couldn’t show most of them. I’m thinking that’s probably an exaggeration. I don’t know how different things are out west, but I’ve seen people turned away at the gates at Camden Yards for wearing a “Yankees Suck” t-shirt.
Here are a few of the signs (or references to signs) that I found on Twitter.

It’s important to make the letters huge as there’s roughly 182 yards of foul territory between Machado and the fans sitting along the third baseline.

Is this one double-sided or does this fan want the press box to see Machado’s face?

I've got my "there's no crying in baseball" sign ready with a baby rattle and Machado's number. Welcome to Oakland Manny! #athletics
