The University of Maryland has decided to postpone Wednesday night’s men’s basketball game between the Terps and the visiting University of Virginia due to the next round of winter storms expected hit the Maryland area over the next 2 days. The game has been rescheduled for Monday February 15th. Probably a wise move considering the mid-Atlantic region is still digging out from the storm over the weekend. I am curious to see how this affects the Terps with the showdown at Duke looming for Saturday. The Terps have played much better ball at home and it would have been nice to continue that on Wednesday before travelling to Durham. Plus, playing on the 15th means the Terps have 3 games in 5 days, 2 of which are on the road. On the other hand this provide the Terps with more time to gameplan for the Duke game.
Will moving the UVA game be a detriment to the Terps?
Ah great! Now what am I supposed to do watch while I'm snowed in on Wednesday? I need to come up with something quick before my girlfriend tries to make me watch the Notebook again.
Caps next game is Wednesday and don't blame your gf for you being a Nicolas Sparks fan.
Seriously Zach…. Who let's their girlfriend dictate what they watch. You need to teach about some manly shows like Gray's Anatomy and Private Practice.
LOST tonight!
My wife no longer watches those shows. And I never consistently watched them with her. Beside's they are a far cry from Z-man sharing a box of tissues with his gf over the Notebook.
Sounds like a great time to become a hockey fan. She's been begging me to watch the Notebook for about a year. I told her if you watches all the Star Wars movies I'll do it.
Hard to believe Maryland already canceled the game. They played Sunday in the aftermath of one of the biggest storms in Maryland history and no a "little" 12 inches is slated to fall and we're panicking.
I am willing to bet that UMD felt some pressure to not have 2 games in a row that most of the paying customers would not be able to make it to. That is a fairly big revenue hit if they need to comp tickets for 2 home league games, plus a logistical headache. It is a shame because Comcast is much louder when it is filled mainly with students.
Sadler – I'd feel bad for Zach if it wasn't for my own similar dilemma…tonight is the girl's night (wife and daughter) to watch The Biggest Loser…means I retreat and watch 3 hours of The Office on TBS!!!
You can tell the girls that I went to see Bob Harper from the Biggest Loser in person yesterday and he rocked. http://www.themarinara.com/
Sadler – That's cool. I've caught it a few times, but since discovering The Office, I haven't tuned in very much. Did you get to meet him also?
You just discovered the Office?…. Congratulations!
woo hoo. I am friends with Special Teams Guru on Facebook. I shall never want again.
At least you can escape though.
Sounds like some people need to man up and get another TV with another DVR box.
My marriage has improved dramatically since I acquired both.
Mark- Does sitting in a different section than your wife at M&T help you marriage also?
That is hilarious.
Without a doubt.
The girl she sits with is the fiancee of my buddy who I sit next too.
And no, there is zero chance that switch it up. No sense in ruining a great thing!
You all listen to Jeff's Mom. She is beautiful. A fabulous cook. An amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. We need more Fran Pilson's in this world. .
Despite your efforts, she is still bent on you not seeing the inside of Camden Yards this year.
Me too.
It was entitled "Superfudge" by the great author Judy Blume.
You guys are SAD! How about a book? Maybe romantic poetry since Valentine's Day is coming!!!!
