A league source tells ProFootballTalk.com that Derrick Mason has reported to Ravens’ training camp, he plans to play football, and will not retire this season.

UPDATE: 1:31 PM – The Baltimore Sun is reporting that this visit did not decide his future in the NFL and that he still has not made a decision on returning or retiring.

UPDATE 1:54 PM – Mike Duffy of the Baltimore Ravens official website reports that Mason could be on the practice field as soon as tomorrow.
UPDATE 2:14 PM – Aaron Wilson passed a Mason’s statement along about returning to the Baltimore Ravens.
“It was a tough decision, but I think it was a good decision for me to come back,” Mason said. “I needed to evaluate my life, football and my career. The last several weeks thinking about it and talking with my family was an important time for me and them.”
“I still have an intense fire inside me, and I want to play. My family and I wanted to finish it out the right way. I felt like I had left something undone, and I wanted to finish it. I believe this is a good example for my son and my daughter on how to be thoughtful and also follow through.”
