Capitals fans got a scare when defenseman Mike Green took a puck to the helmet off the stick of Matt Gilroy in Washington’s 3-1 win over the Rangers in game five.  Green spoke to the media after Tuesday’s practice and informed them that he’s ready to go in the second round.

Ben Raby of CSN Washington talked to Green about the shot he took and how he’s rebounding.

Green says he has not felt any concussion-like symptoms since Saturday.

“No, not at all,” Green said. “The first one was a lot different than this one. Right away, I knew with the first one [that something was wrong]. This one, I got up right away. Other than it stinging a little bit, I was fine.”

Green complimented his helmet for saving him from Gilroy’s shot. “I’m OK so that’s all that matters.”
