Last night the Orioles sent Koji Uehara to the hill to win the 3 game series against the Seattle Mariners and even up the season series at 3 games. Koji returned off the disabled list to make the start and the O’s sent down David Hernandez so he can keep a starters schedule.

Unfortunately, the Orioles had lost 3 straight series finales and 8 of their last 9 overall going into last night’s game and hadn’t scored more than 3 runs in a game against the M’s this year.

So why should anything be any different?

The O’s took an early 2-0 lead when Luke Scott hit his 14th homerun of the season coming off of Garrett Olson. The former Oriole looked as though his early struggles would do him in, but in the end he had a better start than Koji.

In the 3rd inning the game went into a 27 minute rain delay and when the game resumed it was all down hill.

The M’s added 3 in the 3rd, 1 in the 5th, and 2 in the 7th.

This is just the wrong way to lose games.
