Remember Nelson Cruz? That guy who hit 40 home runs while wearing an Orioles uniform and making $8 million last season…

Well last night in LA, Cruz belted a homer for the fifth consecutive game. That’s a career-best for the 34 year old slugger. Cruz has six homers in 2015, more than any other player in the big leagues.

The Orioles let Cruz walk after his 4.7 WAR season a year ago. He signed a four-year, $57 million deal with the Seattle Mariners during the offseason.

The bright side for Baltimore fans? The M’s have started 2015 3-6. Despite Cruz’s three dingers in three games against the Dodgers, it wasn’t enough for them to avoid being swept.
