No wonder Chad Ochocinco is looking to bum a spot on a couch from a fan in New England. Why buy a place when you might be cut by the team?  Dave Pompei of the National Football Post is reporting that Ochocinco or Albert Haynesworth may “not be long for New England” according to a NFL executive.  He believes the move will send a message to the Pats locker room.

Chad Ochocinco and Albert Haynesworth might not be long for New England. One day before this story came out by my guy Mike Reiss, one NFL executive familiar with the Patriots ways told me he believes one or both of the big name acquisitions will be cut before the season starts. The front office man thinks coach Bill Belichick will use the controversial players to help control and send a message to his locker room.

The Patriots are also hosting former Ravens wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh today. Housh and Ocho of course were teammates in Cincinnati. You have to wonder if Housh will replace Ochocinco or if New England would add him to their current roster.
