The Baltimore Orioles have announced their roster for the American League Championship Series. At this point, there are no surprises. Manager Buck Showalter already announced that Chris Davis would not make the roster, given his five remaining games’ worth of suspension. The real question was how Showalter would arrange his bullpen to meet the unique challenges that the Kansas City Royals present.
The answer: swap out the possibly combustible Ubaldo Jimenez in favor of lefty specialist Brian Matusz.
That’s it. No more questions about the roster. From here on out, all Orioles fans can do is wonder about the weather, and hope that this closely contested best-of-seven series goes Baltimore’s way.
