With Wednesday night’s 2-1 victory in Boston against the Red Sox, the Orioles guaranteed a winning record in Fenway Park this season.  Right now the Orioles are a perfect 5-0 in Boston and go for their second straight sweep against the Sox on the road with Brian Matusz on the bump tonight.

We’ve discussed the Orioles dominance in Boston here on BSR and on our podcast, but the root of the Orioles success has not been detailed.  MASN’s Roch Kubatko tweeted an interesting nugget about the O’s/Sox rivalry on Wednesday.

Since the benches cleared between the two teams on July 7 of last season, the Orioles are 12-8 against the Red Sox.
