You weren’t seriously worried about Manny Machado were you?
I sure hope not.
The Orioles phenom shortstop prospect headed into last night’s game hitting .314 with three doubles, two home runs and 12 RBI in his last ten games with Double-A Bowie. Last night against New Britain, Machado went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI and two runs.
Now, MASNSports.com’s Roch Kubatko reports that the Orioles are considering promoting Machado to Triple-A Norfolk.
Machado will join the Orioles other top prospect, starting pitcher Dylan Bundy, in the futures game on Sunday in Kansas City.
His ability to hit for extra base hit profile and walk rate have looked good all year. I think its safe to label 2012 (thus far) a success for Machado.
He is moving up because the O’s simply can’t believe how horrible their infielders are (except Hardy),,,,,,,he may come up real fast it would be a mistake but they have made plenty mistakes before haven’ they ?,,,,,,,,,,,,,Like we keep saying , if they would spring for a top tier player they could be competitive , especially this year when the division is down……………just think they could take three of the contracts for three of their DHers and combine the money and get a true top tier player that would turn this team around,,,,,,,,,,,it’s a very simple game………….
As usual , spy is right on.
Thank you very much……..
Your welcome,,,,,,,,,,you are so wise……….
I admire your perception………
