The Orioles kicked off the holiday season by thanking fans via Twitter.

Over the course of about three hours, the O’s gave away game tickets, autographs, t-shirts, statues, hats, bobbleheads… and just about anything else the Orioles had in overstock. Some highlights of the 25 give-away tweets include:
It’s easy to be cynical these days, but kudos to the Birds for taking a little time to make people’s day, and connect with fans. It was nice to see the team give thanks via Twitter, and find a way to engage fans through what is proving to be a quiet off season. The gesture was small and simple, but for O’s fans, it set the right tone heading into Thanksgiving.
