Koji has got to be losing his mind. He hasn’t had a win in over a month and is putting together solid starts for the Birds.

Uehara pitched through 5 and gave up 4 earned runs. He got a no decision and watched from the bench as this one slipped away from the O’s.

Baltimore had a 3 run inning in the 3rd. Felix Pie got things started with an RBI triple, then Brian Roberts drove him in. After stealing second, Roberts came home on a wild pitch by Luke Hochevar.

The O’s held a 3-2 lead through 5, but in the 6th Koji gave up two and surrendered the lead. Nolan Reimold tied it up at 4 in the 8th driving in Nick Markakis. It was Reimold’s 2nd RBI of the year. But Jim Johnson couldn’t keep the game tied. He gave up two in the 8th and Brian Bass gave up another run.

Cesar Izturis left the game in the bottom of the 8th after straining his groin. Robert Andino filled in at shortstop.

The O’s are off today but play the evil empire in the Bronx tomorrow.
