Everyday on BSR we’re going to take a look at a different Oriole’s numbers from last season and set goals for them this year. Today we take a look at the Orioles’ first baseman Aubrey Huff, who had an amazing 2008 season.

Realistically, Aubrey Huff was the most improved Oriole of the 2008 season. I feel guilty trying to ask for more, so his projections aren’t a real improvement over last season. A .300+ batting average, 51 doubles, and 35 homeruns is enough to book a trip to the All Star Game.
In 2009 Huff should focus on driving a few more guys in, hitting a few more long balls, and striking out a little less. I guess for Huff to have a good season he should stay focused at the plate and work on his defense at first base.

4/4 on your O’s projections for guys to have a better year?!? … a little optimistic. I see Huff around .290 with 27 HR and 110 RBI

I don’t see Huff bettering his average over last year. I’ll be happy if he stays focusd and happy while at first base and bats 285-295.
