After a decent career in the Big 10 for Michigan, Prescott Burgess has a failed to find much success in the NFL. The former 6th round draft pick was only able to participate in 8 total games in his first 2 seasons with the Ravens. He suffered a hip injury in 2007 and a broken forearm in 2008. In 2009, there was that weird series of events where Burgess was traded to the Pats prior to the first game between the 2 teams. He was then waived, sent to the Pats practice squad, and then the Ravens signed him after Brendan Ayanbadejo went down for the season.

2010 Analysis:
Burgess was primarily a Special Teams player last season. I don’t see that changing this season unless there are some serious injuries in the linebacking corps. With kindle out for the season and Ayanbadejo not even practicing yet, Burgess is likely to be on the roster. It just remains to be seen how much impact Burgess will have on the 2010 season.
