Analysis: Rookie defensive back Brad Jones was signed by the Ravens on August 14 after the club waived long snapper Matt Katula. Jones tried out for the Cleveland Browns in the spring and was signed by Baltimore after participating in minicamp in a tryout.
Jones was named first-ream All-Ohio as a senior at McKinley High School. He was also a state finalist sprinter in the 4×100 and 4×200 relays.
2010 Outlook: If you’re looking for some relief in the secondary for the Ravens, Jones probably isn’t your guy. He’ll provide more depth at the position with the injury of Domonique Foxworth, but likely won’t be a contributing factor in the secondary for the Ravens this season.
