Billy Cundiff faced off against Rookie Justin Tucker at Ravens open training camp practice at M&T Bank Stadium on SaturdayThe Ravens opened their training camp doors for the first time on Saturday and 20,324 sheep flocked to M&T Bank Stadium for watch a practice.

Unlike the cozy confines of the Ravens facility, the large crowd allowed the team to put some pressure on both Billy Cundiff and Justin Tucker, who have been in a heated kicking competition this summer.  As reported earlier this week, it appears the rookie Tucker took an early lead on the former Pro Bowler, Cundiff.

On Saturday, Tucker didn’t slow down.  He connected on a perfect seven of seven in front of the home crowd and even booted one from 63 yards.  The Ravens simulated game situations to put a little bit more heat on their kickers.

I wonder if they made them run down the sidelines instead of calling a timeout.

Cundiff didn’t kick too shabby either.  He nailed seven of eight, missing from only 65 yards.

Ryan Mink of BaltimoreRavens.com reports that Cundiff is “working on some new things in camp,” but never specified what specifically.  “He’s also happy that he was able to connect from 54 yards Saturday even though his leg isn’t extremely fresh considering the rigors of camp,” Mink reassuringly writes.

How happy was Tucker after hitting one from 63?
