Who would have thought that Ray Rice’s involvement in the Ravens offense would be the topic of conversation for the Ravens heading into week eight?

Certainly not me, but after Rice only got eight touches in the Ravens 12-7 loss to the Jaguars, Terrell Suggs stepped up and wondered why the team’s biggest offensive playmaker was taken off the game plan.  Then on Tuesday, John Harbaugh voiced his concerns.

On Wednesday, Rice was finally asked his opinion on his lack of playing time on Monday night and he gave the answer everyone expected.

“I definitely expect to be more involved,” Rice said. “My involvement with this offense hasn’t changed since the beginning of the season, I don’t want Cam [Cameron] and them to feel like they’ve got to force me the ball. I’m not that kind of guy. My carries come when the whole offense has success. I look forward to having that success.”

Rice told Aaron Wilson that despite Suggs’ comments, he “wasn’t really concerned” with his lack as playing time. “This week is a totally different week,” he added.
