Ed Reed, Haloti Ngata, Terrell Suggs and Matt Birk were sidelined during Wednesday’s practice according to Dan Kolko of MASNSports.com, but fans should expect to see all four suit up against the Chiefs on Sunday.
Reed said earlier today that he still expects to play this weekend against the Chiefs after suffering a rib injury in Sunday’s win over the Bengals, but as expected, the Ravens gave him a day to heal up.
Ngata (thigh), Suggs (knee) and Birk (knee) all rested as well today, although none of those injuries are thought to be serious. The Ravens often rest their veteran starters late in the season if they need a day off.
The Ravens did see David Reed and Michael Oher return to practice on Wednesday. They saw limited work from Tom Zbikowski, who has been plagued with a back injury, and cornerback Josh Wilson, who was hurt against the Bengals.
The injury report continues to look promising for the Ravens as they head to Kansas City.
