Last year we showed you these crazy new Nike “Pro Combat” uniform designs for every NFL team. Reports in 2010 were that the leaked images of those designs were faked despite Nike signing on to become the league’s official uniform supplier in 2012.
Now, it’s being reported that Nike sale representatives are having a “secret meeting where they are being shown new NFL jersey designs” for next season.
CNBC’s Darren Rovell tweeted that Nike has already begun promoting their uniform deal for next year with a YouTube video featuring a voiceover by Michael Irvin.
With the University of Maryland’s slick new Under Armour uniform design, I have to wonder if those “leaked” NFL jersey images were a teaser of a new look in 2012. We all know that Nike is frantically trying to keep up with UA.
Would you like to see the NFL add the “Pro Combat” look in 2012?
Nike is now consistently trying to catch Under Armour. It’s really embarassing that the once global giant is now copying Under Armour’s designs.
It’s called capitalism………….
