I mentioned in a previous article, Free Agents The Orioles Should Target, about the possibility of Japanese sensation Yu Darvish coming to MLB next season, and how the Oriole’s should be involved. A new report today that can be found here confirms the Orioles’ interest in Darvish. The report also states that Darvish does intend to pitch in the majors next season.
Ten plus teams will all try to acquire possibly the greatest Japanese pitcher we will ever see in Major League Baseball.
If the O’s bring back Uehara this offseason, as many are speculating, that could be a big boost for their chances to land Darvish. Not many teams can offer another Japanese pitcher on the roster who thoroughly enjoys the team and the city, and has fit in well in the clubhouse.
